Whalers Hockey

Bart and Riley Gatensby have been selected to play in an IIHF All-Star game this Sunday at 10pm at the Ice Dome. This is a very special game and we hope to have as many team members, friends and family there to support our guys!

A training/scrimmage game has been arranged to take place on Wednesday 28th February at 11pm against the Wolves.

After what has seemed like an age since our last IIHA Development League game, the Whalers were playing the Ravens once again in what proved to be a dramatic game in which the Whalers took the 3 points with a shutout. Unfortunately the Ravens netminder Miceal O'Neill was taken off the ice in the third period after suffering a head injury but at the time of writing we are told that he is OK and is making a recovery. We wish him well and also wish to thank the Ravens for an enjoyable game.

The Whalers managed a 8-3 win over the recently revised Bulls B team in a friendly organised during the Bulls normal training session. An enjoyable match and hopefully both teams have gained valuable game experience for use in upcoming Development League Matches. The Whalers would like the thank the Bulls for hosting the game.
